10.29.3.3 THE RING OF SOLOMON

This is a line that encircles the area or part of the area of the mount of Jupiter under the first finger. It can be seen most frequently in partial formation in overlapping lines. This is a small line and not to be confused with the crease at the join of the finger to the palm. It starts near the beginning of the line of head, then curves upward, ending between the first and second fingers.

A solid curved line – great aptitude for the psychic, the occult, the mystical.

A straight line, usually a little indistinct —interest in performing magic or a curiosity in the occult.

Short, overlapping lines — understanding and appreciation of psychiatric problems in others.

10.29.3.2 THE GIRDLE OF VENUS

This line is a crescent – or arc-shaped line that starts between the first and second fingers, then curves down towards the heart line, only to rise and terminate between the third and fourth fingers. It is a sister line, in a way, to augment the qualities of the heart line. It can strengthen deficiencies that are physical handicaps, but it can be too overpowering if the heart line is strong. It is the mark of sensuality in a powerful hand.

In a very well-balanced hand it can mean an aesthetic disposition.

Broken or fragmentary — disappointments in love, reticent.

Double lines — nervousness, excitability.

Triple formation — tendency to hysteria.
