10.18 MOUNT OF UPPER MARS
This area, located between Mercury and Luna on the percussion side of the palm, represents endurance, bravery, fortitude, and resistance. This is a passive form as opposed to the activity of Lower Mars, but it takes both for balance.
Higher or stronger toward Mercury — nothing can defeat this person in business or profession, very persistent. Toward the center of the palm, the Plain of Mars — guard against over-aggressiveness.
Toward Luna — takes advantage of imaginative inspirational qualities, such as an attorney who can sway a jury by his choice of words.
Toward the percussion — physical reserve.
Overdeveloped — cruelty.
Absent — morbid, always on the defensive.
A single vertical line — bravery in face of death.
Many parallel lines — brutality.
A cross — quarrelsome.
Short horizontal lines — obstacles or enemies.
Long horizontal lines — lawsuits or participation in the legal profession.
Triangle — honors in warfare.
Circle – wounds.
LINES OF OPPOSITION.

The lines on Upper Mars are also called the lines of opposition. They are the short horizontal lines that run straight across the area parallel to the line of heart. If any line is longer and reaches another area it takes on the characteristics of the other area. If, for instance, one line curves up to the area of Apollo, it is then considered as a line of Apollo.
If a long line from Upper Mars touches a major line, the Mars line then becomes an influence line and registers as a hindrance or deterrent force against the major line. If it touches the line of Mercury it threatens a health problem that would interfere with business. Cutting the Apollo line – financial problems connected with a profession.
I have a clear upper mars line running horizontal from the palm below heart line and touching my head line. It’s a long line almost looking like a branch from headline in my right hand and in left hand similar line but broken. Please tell me the analysis.
