10.4 TYPE OF HANDS

Hands are typed by they shape. They fall into various classifications as follows.
THE ELEMENTARY HAND
(Rare)
The elementary hand is easy to identify because of a short thumb, wide palm, short, thick fingers, and a clumsy appearance. The hand is stiff and awkward. It represents very little intelligence but is strong on brutal instincts. Fortunately it is rarely seen except among the most primitive of tribal people.
THE SQUARE HAND
(the orderly hand)
The square hand is the practical, the working hand. It is really rectangular over-all, but the palm is square and the fingers have a squared-off appearance at the fingertips. People with these hands want everything organized with specific plans. Very forceful and determined to fulfill the requisites for living and the pursuit of happiness.

Time is computed approximately by dividing the basic lines into segments totaling ninety to one hundred years, always starting from the beginning of each line. The life line starts the count from the point of beginning, which is between the thumb and forefinger. The head and heart lines follow the same way. The fate lines, Saturn, Apollo, and Mercury, start their time reading from the bottom of the palm to the top.
