One of the earliest of telepathic tests, this is a version of “picking the object,” but without the transmitter. A group thinks of an object in the room, the demonstrator comes in alone, and tries to “sense” it from the massed impression. One way is to move about, touching objects or handling them; but some demonstrators prefer to take a fixed position and “think” their way around.
