6.6 DREAM DICTIONARY – E

EAGLE:

To see an eagle represents a dream of high ambitions, one that demands personal acclaim. If the dreamer kills eagle, frustration and failure may be the result.

EATING:

When the dreamer eats alone, loss of physical energy may cause inertia. This, in turn, signifies mental depression. A dream of endless eating indicates many worries and a restless, unsatisfactory way of living. If the food is removed before the dreamer has finished with it, domestic or occupational complications must be solved.

ELEPHANT:

To dream of an elephant means a desire to have great strength. Some analysts interpret this power as a sexual motive, especially if the dreamer is a woman. Elephant dreams are symbolic of power, force and memory.

6.5 DREAM DICTIONARY – D

DAGGER:

The dagger seen in a dream is a threat. It is also considered a symbol of the male sex. Anxiety, fear of bodily injury that may leave the dreamer impotent are associated with dagger dreams that are common to men. For women, the implication is one of genuine fear of gossip or slander. If the dreamer takes the dagger away from the assailant, none of the fears will materialize. Both men and women can trace these dreams to some act that threatens their reputation, or a desire for sexual relationship that might harm them morally.

DAISY:

Daisies in a field indicate good health and security for the dreamer. White daisies bring love, Black-eyed Susans, jealousy.

DANCING:

Old, traditional interpretations of dreams of dancing portend happiness and conviviality. For young dreamers, many pleasures. For adults and the very old, bright vistas in store. Modern interpretations add sexual desires to any dance dream. It is sometimes masked as exhibitionism.

DEATH: See Corpse.

DENTIST:

To dream of a dentist usually indicates a fear complex, a distrust in someone, man or woman, who may appear to be honorable but is, in reality, the opposite.
