8.1 DATES AND VITAL NUMBERS

***************************

Dates can be reduced to vibratory numbers by adding the day of the month, the number of the month (as January, 1; February, 2; and so on through December, 12) and finally, the figures composing the year.

As an example, July 4, 1776, the day on which the Declaration of Independence was signed:

Here we have the fourth day (4) of the seventh month (7) in the year 1776.

The figures are 4 – 7 – 1776.

Added, 4 + 7 + 1 + 7 + 7 + 6 = 32.

Further addition, 3 + 2 = 5.

No numerical vibration could be more expressive of the hazard and uncertainty that went with the signing of that momentous document. The risk assumed by all the persons involved, as well as the launching of a new ship of state upon uncharted waters from which there could be no return, reflected to full degree the number 5, symbol of adventure.

Many other important dates of history lend themselves to such numerological interpretations ether they are propitious or ominous depends to a strong degree upon the attendant circumstances, as well as the underling urge. As proof of this, we have the direct antithesis to the example just given, namely:

November 11, 1918, the day on which the Armistice was signed, ending the actual or immediate fighting in World War I.

The eleventh day (1 + 1) of the eleventh month (1 + 1) in the year 1918 (1, 9, 1, 8) add to: 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 9 + 1 + 8 = 23. Further addition 2 + 3 = 5.

Again hazard and uncertainty were the factors. But instead of treating the armistice as a step toward final and greater victory, it was accepted as the basis for a makeshift peace. As such, it fell prey to all the insecurity found in the vibration of number 5.

Fascinating though this study of memorable dates may be, the chief concern of numerology is in terms of the individual being; how each person may be affected by the vibrator influences attributed to numbers and how he or she can use them most to advantage. Certain dates harmonize with the individual’s own vibratory numbers. Of these, the simplest is:
