PISCES — THE FISH

Here is the most modest and unassuming sign of the zodiac. Pisces people acquire knowledge, then fail to show it, often regarding it of little consequence and believing that other people who brag about their ability must actually know more than they do. Their governing planet, Jupiter, has much to do with this, for it endows these Pisces people with a nature so generous that it becomes overtrustful.

Because of their unselfish dispositions, persons of this sign fail to realize their own possibilities. The greater their honesty, the more doubtful they become as to their own ability. This produces fear of the future, which in turn causes them immediate worry. Hence, Pisces people are perhaps the most cautious of all, where their own affairs are concerned.

In contrast, however, they rely upon the promises of other People and are frequently and easily duped. Though they themselves are sincere and trustworthy, they are often blamed for the mistakes of others, who shunt the burden onto the kindly Pisces person. Often, a Pisces individual becomes the victim of a subtle, cunning plot, which he never even begins to suspect.

There are two saving factors to this sign. One is the optimistic trend inspired by Jupiter. Most other planets would be deadly if they held chief sway over Pisces. But thanks to their jovial dispositions, people of this sign ride over deep troubles almost as trifles. The other factor in their behalf is that their true worth is appreciated by real friends and good people, who help them to bring out their strong points and even serve as a buffer against unscrupulous persons.

Calmness is a great trait of Pisces and should be used to fight off worry and imaginary problems. These people should weigh vital questions beforehand; then be sure that they act on sound judgment. They should never listen to persuasive appeals to their generosity, but should study solid facts, come to a conclusion, and if need be, take the advice of proven and impartial friends.

There is determination in the Pisces nature, and it becomes stronger the more it is aroused. Pisces people should cultivate this for their own good. If they are accused of being stubborn, that is all right, too, as long as it makes them more determined. If they yield on minor points, they should never let that become for a Greater play upon their sympathies.

Pisces people are deep in their devotion to friends and causes, even under the most hopeless circumstances. There is no downing their optimism, and they imbue others with the same confidence. A Pisces person is fortunate indeed, when he or she finds a right niche in life; and those who depend upon them are still more fortunate in having such a stalwart friend.

In business, Pisces people belong with large organizations where their honesty and executive capacity can be appreciated. They do well in government jobs and scientific pursuits. Many of them succeed as engineers. They are interested in historical subjects and all forms of nature.

Pisces and Aries form a good team in business. Association with Taurus, Virgo, and Aquarius also furnish attractive prospects. Pisces, with its reliability, and Capricorn, with business judgment, make a good partnership in enterprises where each can handle the part to which he is best suited.

While a marriage between two persons born under Pisces is harmonious, it is difficult for one to bring out the other’s stronger qualities. Pisces does well with Cancer, Virgo, and Scorpio; and other signs often prove helpful, with the exception of Libra, which is too prone to weigh the Pisces shortcomings.
