4.1 RULES OF DICE DIVINATION
*****************************
Fortune telling by dice dates back to antiquity, and this modern version of that divinatory art can be used as an intriguing form of entertainment. As to the accuracy of its answers, that is something that experiment best can prove.
THE PROCEDURE IS AS FOLLOWS:
***************************
Study the list of questions and choose whatever one you wish. Keep it constantly in mind while you shake a pair of dice, preferably in a cup or glass, though they may be shaken back and forth between the hands, which should be kept close together.
Roll the dice on the table and note the combination of spots that comes up. Refer to the list of answers headed by that combination. Find the answer with the same number as your question.
Example: A consultant chooses question 8, which asks, “Which friend or person shall I believe?” He rolls the dice and spots “2” and “3” appear. In the list of answers headed by combination “2-3” he finds number 8, which states, “The one whom you have known longest.”
According to traditional rules governing this type of divination, only three questions should be asked by one person on a single occasion. Also, once a question has been asked, a person should wait a reasonable period of time for the answer fulfilled, before asking the same question again.
