2.6 THE LUCKY THIRTEEN
Take a joker or some odd card and place it face up to represent the consultant. Around it add twelve more cards face down, exactly as shown here. The letters on the cards show the way they are to be paired. Turn up the two marked “A” and interpret them in terms of the consultant. Do the same with the Pair marked “B.” These represent the closest influences to the consultant.
Pairs “C” and “D” come next. They are either “futures” or represent strong influences that are blocked by “A” and “B” respectively. Finally, turn up the “E” and “F” pairs. They are secondary influences, helpful or harmful as the case may be.
Here is an example:
Interpretation: A loyal friend of long standing (J H) is constantly working to keep your home life (A H) happy and harmonious. This is very helpful to your welfare and can overcome all other influences. (The “A” pair.)
This is very important because you personally are trying to escape issues, due to your own inndecision (5 H). You are greatly bothered by temporary financial problems, occasional illness, or petty worries (4 S). (The “B” pair.)
An overambitious man (K S) may try to interfere in your future success, but you will win despite him, thanks to the help of other friends (A C) and your own merit. (The “C” pair.) Also-and this is quite important—your loyal friend (J H) is blocking the troublemaker (K S).
Despite failure of certain projects (4 C) you can count on a future acquaintance to bring you a new opportunity leading to the success already indicated and thus insuring it (2 H). (The “D” pair.)
Do not expect to get along without opposition (2 C ). You are sure to meet with it, particularly in business and also from persons who call themselves friends. You can depend upon a loyal, kindly woman to combat this opposition (Q C). With a male consultant, the woman might represent his wife. With a female consultant, her closest friend.(The “E” pair).
Both business success and happy marriage (5 S) may be marred or retarded by a serious love affair (2 D), which can also threaten the success that this reading presages.(The “F” pair)
